This page explains how BreezyCV uses your information and the terms that apply when you use the BreezyCV website or purchase a CV-writing service.
By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these terms.
Your privacy
When you use BreezyCV, you may provide personal information including your name, email address, telephone number, location, education, qualifications, employment history, skills, achievements and other information that you choose to include in your CV questionnaire.
You may also provide information about the type of work you are applying for, employers you have worked for, referees or other people where that information is relevant to your CV.
We only ask for information that is useful for providing your CV-writing service.
Why your information is used
Your information is used to:
- prepare and deliver your CV;
- research and assess the information you provide;
- communicate with you about your order;
- process your payment;
- answer questions or provide support;
- maintain appropriate business and financial records; and
- improve the operation and quality of the BreezyCV service.
The principal reason for processing your information is to provide the service you have requested. UK data-protection law requires businesses to have an appropriate lawful basis for using personal information.
Please only provide information you are happy for us to use
A CV can sometimes contain information that is particularly personal.
Please do not include unnecessary information about your health, religion, political opinions, ethnicity, sexuality or other sensitive matters unless it is genuinely relevant and you specifically want it considered as part of your CV.
Certain categories of information receive additional protection under UK data-protection law.
How your information is processed
BreezyCV combines established professional CV-writing methods with modern technology to research, analyse, structure and write your CV.
This means that information you submit may be processed using third-party technology and service providers that help us operate the website, collect form responses, communicate with you, take payment, and produce your CV.
These may include providers of:
- website hosting;
- online forms;
- email;
- payment processing; and
- artificial-intelligence and document-processing services.
Only information reasonably required to provide the service will be used.
We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or other businesses.
Automated and AI-assisted processing
Technology is used as part of the BreezyCV writing process.
Your information may be analysed and processed using artificial-intelligence tools to help identify relevant experience, organise information, research roles and produce draft CV content.
Your finished CV is intended to reflect the factual information you provide. Qualifications, employment, responsibilities or achievements should never knowingly be invented.
You remain responsible for checking your completed CV and telling us promptly if anything is inaccurate.
Keeping your information
Personal information should not be kept longer than it is reasonably needed. The UK GDPR does not prescribe one universal retention period; businesses must decide an appropriate period according to their purpose for holding the information.
For BreezyCV, we will retain your questionnaire responses, correspondence and completed CV for a reasonable period after your order so that we can deal with amendments, questions or requests for replacement copies.
Certain payment, transaction and accounting records may need to be retained for longer where required for legal, tax or accounting purposes.
Information that is no longer required will be deleted or securely disposed of.
Your data rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights including the right to:
- ask what personal information we hold about you;
- receive a copy of it;
- have inaccurate information corrected;
- ask for information to be deleted;
- object to or restrict certain uses of your information; and
- complain about how your information has been handled.
These rights are provided under UK data-protection law.

You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office if you believe your personal information has been handled improperly.
Terms & Conditions
The breezyCV service
BreezyCV provides a personalised CV-writing service based upon the information you supply.
You provide the facts about your experience, education, qualifications, skills and achievements. We use those facts to research, structure, write and format your CV.
Your completed CV will normally be supplied electronically as a Word document and PDF.
Completing your questionnaire
There is no commitment to purchase simply because you start or complete a breezyCV questionnaire.
You can begin your questionnaire, leave it and return later if the form system allows you to do so.
You should take reasonable care to make sure the information you submit is complete and accurate.
BreezyCV will not knowingly invent qualifications, employers, achievements or experience that you have not provided.
Payment
You do not pay to start filling in your information.
Payment is requested when you have completed your questionnaire and decide that you want BreezyCV to prepare your CV.
Your order becomes active once payment has been successfully received.
Prices shown on the website at the time you place your order are the prices that apply to that order.
When work begins
Because your CV is individually written for you, preparation may begin shortly after payment.
For online service contracts, consumers normally have a 14-day cancellation period. However, where you expressly ask a business to begin providing a service during that period, special rules apply; and once a service has been fully performed after the required agreement has been given, the ordinary cancellation right can end.
Cancelling before work begins
If you change your mind and contact us before substantive work has begun on your CV, we will normally cancel the order and refund your payment.
Cancelling after work has begun
If you ask us to begin work during the statutory cancellation period and subsequently cancel before the service is completed, applicable consumer law may allow a reasonable charge for work already performed, provided the required information and consent were given.
Nothing in these terms removes any statutory rights that you have as a consumer.
If something is wrong with your CV
If we have misunderstood factual information you supplied, made an error, omitted important information you provided, or otherwise failed to supply the service with reasonable care and skill, please contact us.
We will make reasonable corrections without additional charge.
You should review the completed CV carefully before sending it to an employer.
Changes of preference
CV writing involves professional judgement.
A preference for different wording, layout or emphasis does not necessarily mean that the original CV was defective.
However, if you believe something could reasonably be improved, tell us. We would much rather have the opportunity to put it right.
Accuracy of the information you provide
Your CV is based upon information supplied by you.
You are responsible for ensuring that dates, qualifications, employment details, memberships, achievements and other factual information are accurate.
You should not knowingly provide false or misleading information.
Employment outcomes
A professionally written CV can improve how clearly your experience and strengths are presented, but BreezyCV cannot guarantee interviews, job offers or employment.
Recruitment decisions remain entirely with employers and recruiters.
Job-specific information
Where you provide details of a particular vacancy or employer, BreezyCV may use those details to help tailor your CV.
You should check that any vacancy information you provide is current and accurate.
Intellectual property and use of your CV
Once you have paid for your CV, you may use, edit, print, email and submit the finished document for your own job-search and career purposes.
You should not resell BreezyCV services or represent the BreezyCV writing system, templates or other proprietary material as your own commercial product.
Website information
We try to keep the information on breezycv.com accurate and current, but website content may occasionally contain errors or become outdated.
General information and the free CV Guide are provided for guidance only and should not be treated as a guarantee that any particular approach will result in employment.
Changes to these terms
These terms may occasionally be updated to reflect changes to the BreezyCV service, technology or legal requirements.
The version that applies to your purchase will be the version in force when you place your order.
